The Gorge Day Visitor Area car park closes in winter; Parks Victoria directs visitors to park at Mount Buffalo Chalet and walk to The Gorge. Confirm the closest permitted parking for a specific climb.
Winter snow can affect Mount Buffalo Road. Snow chains must be carried and fitted where signs direct during the declared snow season; some park roads have seasonal closures.
