Drive via Ben Lomond Road from Blessington; the alpine village is 18 km beyond the park boundary. Jacobs Ladder is steep and winding, with a 30 km/h limit and uphill traffic giving way.
The park lists parking and a lower carpark served by a shuttle during ski season. Confirm road and carpark access before setting out.
Snow and ice can close the road near the alpine village without notice. Vehicles must carry correctly fitted snow chains from June to September.
