Essential crag checks
Access, closures, permits & safety
From the fire-trail clearing, walk downhill and leave the trail at the cairned footpath before its sharp right bend. Follow the creek upstream about 50 m, cross it and walk uphill through boulders to the crag.
The CCA guide locates the parking turnoff about 3.9 km up Corin Road from Tidbinbilla Road. Two-wheel-drive visitors should park beside Corin Road at the fire trail; keep vehicle access unobstructed.
Parks ACT currently closes Gibraltar Falls’ viewing platform and walking track, and Woods Reserve campground, until early 2027. These nearby facilities must not be used as an alternative approach. The CCA guide describes a separate Corin Road approach; follow signs and check for any new restrictions before leaving the road.
