From the Trout Creek campground day-use area, follow the riverside access upstream and the established climber trail to the basalt columns.

Parking

Use the BLM Trout Creek campground day-use parking; keep private easements and neighboring property boundaries clear.

Permits & access rules

The BLM golden eagle closure runs January 15 through August 31. Outside that period, respect any posted nest buffer and private boundary.

Safety

Basalt columns and approach blocks can be loose. Wear a helmet, inspect anchors and take care on exposed boulder-hopping.
