Access, closures, permits & safety
Reach the Chek climbing site from Highway 99 via Conroy Creek Forest Service Road. Use the named sector approach from the specialist guide; the gravel road is steep and rough.
Use the lower, middle or upper Chek parking areas as appropriate; do not block the forest service road. Walking up from the lower lot avoids the roughest upper road.
The site is public. Respect posted sector notices and any taped or unfinished routes; recheck local access alerts before climbing.
Wear a helmet, inspect fixed hardware and loose rock, and account for the rough road and changing weather.
Closures and permit rules can change without notice. Recheck the official land manager before departure.
