Essential crag checks

Access, closures, permits & safety

Access

Take Soo River FSR north of Whistler, continue to the first right fork and cross the river. From the parking clearing, follow the uphill trail and cairns through woodland and talus to the climbing walls; allow roughly 30–40 minutes to the Big Swing area.

Parking

The guiding operator identifies a parking clearing immediately left after crossing the river on the access road. Check forest-road conditions before travel; the operator describes normal access as suitable for a two-wheel-drive car.

Permits & access rules

Safety

The southwest-facing bluffs can be hot in midsummer, while heavy rain wets the routes. Multipitch lines may require cams as well as quickdraws and a planned rappel descent; use the exact route’s equipment guidance.

Closures and permit rules can change without notice. Recheck the official land manager before departure.
