Essential crag checks

Access, closures, permits & safety

Access

Use the Enola Low Grade Trail to reach the separated cliffs. From the north trailhead, Sunset Wall is the first climbing wall; walking or cycling along the level trail is an option. Check which wall you intend to visit because approaches can be long.

Parking

Mountain Project recommends the north Enola Low Grade Trail lot for straightforward access. Chestnut Grove is another approach for Chimney of Horror through Euro Wall, with more than a mile of walking. Follow current trailhead signs; historic 2020 bridge-work restrictions are not treated as current.

Closures

SCPC lists the area open from dawn to dusk year-round, with seasonal raptor closures at Cemetery Wall. Obey the current sector notices and do not assume every wall is available.

Permits & access rules

Safety

The local climbing organization warns that some belay areas sit 10–50 feet above the rail trail. North is less child-friendly than South, and some lines require longer ropes or multiple pitches. Check the route length and belay position before committing.

Closures and permit rules can change without notice. Recheck the official land manager before departure.
