Essential crag checks
Access, closures, permits & safety
Identify the landowner and property rules before choosing a trailhead. Visitors to PMRP, MFRP and BRRP must sign the RRGCC waiver; without it they are considered trespassing.
At PMRP, follow posted signs, use designated parking and do not block access to active oil wells. Overnight parking is not allowed in RRGCC parking lots.
Climbing areas are owned by nonprofits, the federal government and private entities, and access remains subject to each owner's rules. PMRP, MFRP and BRRP require an RRGCC waiver.
In an emergency call 911 and give responders the road or geographic location, not only the crag name, because responding crews may not be climbers.
Closures and permit rules can change without notice. Recheck the official land manager before departure.
