Access, closures, permits & safety
Start from the Browning Lake parking area and use the linked climbing source to select the correct side of Highway 99 and the final trail to Lower Splitsville. Cross the highway only where safe; stay on established trails and obey site signs.
Use the signed Murrin Park parking lot at Browning Lake. BC Parks requires designated spaces and prohibits overnight parking; the park operator lists the gate as open 7 a.m.–9 p.m. from September 16 to October 15.
BC Parks lists climbing opportunities in the park, while individual route restrictions can change. Check the BC Parks and park-operator advisories plus onsite notices before heading to this sector; do not enter any posted closure.
