About this crag

This is a fairly new area about 20 minutes south of Chungju. All of the climbing here seems to be slab. The anchors looked new but typically Korean. The bolts looked pretty good. It is a small area and hosts about 15 routes, some are 2 pitches. Don't come if you don't like slab, and don't come too far. If you live in the vicinity, come check it out. Climbing Grades: 9 - 11 Type: Rock Climb Style: Sport

Getting there

Driving directions: Take highway 3 south of Chungju, past Suanbo. Take the exit for Suokjeong, which is just after a tunnel. At the bottom of the exit, turn right. After 75 meters, you will see the Seteo bus stop (hanguel) on your left, and a map and a bridge on your left. Cross the bridge and continue until you are underneath the highway. Park here. Follow the road for another 50 meters or so, on foot, until you come to the gate. Keep going, following signs for Gittaebong (hangeul). When there is a major branch in the trail, turn left, and then stone-hop across the creek. You are almost there! After a little ways, you should see a slab through the trees. Then you will see a sign for Seteo Ambyeok Amjang (hangeul), telling you to take a crappy trail on the left. After 20 meters, you will have arrived. The whole approach is about 15 minutes and is NOT hard.

Before you visit

Nothing to major... slab in Korea is slab in Korea... falling hurts.

Recommended equipment

10 draws and a 50m may do ya, although I'm not positive on rope length.
