About this crag
Hwangjeok OB Slab is strictly granite slab with a few flakes and minor cracks. The quality of granite is excellent for slab climbing. The quality of the bolts are good. Anchors are safely threaded with clamped tight steel cables. There are four standard double-pitch routes in which the farthest two routes two-fold from atop the first pitch. The length of the routes are roughly twenty meters per pitch; both pitches could be climbed with a fifty meter rope. The climbs become progressively more difficult the farther left one moves from the right. Climbing Grades: 7 - 11 Type: Rock Climb Style: Sport
Getting there
Take Buses 102 or 103 from Daejeon to the end of the line at Dongdo-sa or grab a cab to Gyeryongsan Dongdo-sa. From the end of the line, cross the parking lot, cross a stream, cross the next parking lot, cross a narrow two lane road and look for WooSong University or 야영장 signs. Follow the signs up just shy of a ranger station about fifty meters and cut directly right into woods onto a path. Follow this path gradually upward and to the right, cross over a single dry streambed and then cross over another typically try streambed and stay to the right of this streambed the whole way up. After roughly twenty minutes of hiking, you will pass up and over a cliff or dry-looking waterfall; continue upward on the traiil and about another ten minutes up you will see the small granite slab of Hwangjeok Bong to your left.

Before you visit
There are three abseil stations atop the second pitch; two anchors sit at the far right and middle abseil stations, only one anchor is at the far left abseil station. However, be leary of the two manky anchors at the furthest right station.
Recommended equipment
Ten quick-draws, the smaller half of your cam set(3~6.5cm), a 50M rope, and an expendable sling or carabiner for the abseil should do the trick(a few of the steel-wire anchors lack an abseil ring).
