Essential crag checks

Access, closures, permits & safety

Access

From I-93 Exit 34C, follow the Governor Gallen Memorial road. Walk back to the road sign and take the established path for about ten minutes, staying on the Echo Crag approach rather than the Profile Cliff branch.

Parking

The specialist guide recommends the road-end parking near the memorial. Do not park on the curve or beside the trailhead where vehicles can be ticketed or towed; obey present signs.

Permits & access rules

Safety

The guide reports past vehicle break-ins; lock the car and remove visible valuables. Different walls have different route lengths, so assess each climb and descent rather than using the crag's small size as a rope-length assumption.

Closures and permit rules can change without notice. Recheck the official land manager before departure.

About this crag

The path reaches a small bouldering wall and then Square Inch Wall; a side path leads elsewhere to Profile Cliff. The guide describes short moderate routes alongside longer climbs, so check route length before choosing ropes and protection.

Recommended equipment

Bring equipment appropriate to the climbing style and local conditions. A helmet is strongly recommended.
